Wash & fold laundry by the pound

Hand us the hamper. We weigh it in, sort it, wash it, dry it, fold it and bag it — usually back to you the next day. Now available at all three Econo & Star Cleaners locations.

How it works

Four steps, no appointment

  1. Weigh in at the counterBring laundry in any bag or basket. We weigh it, write the ticket and note anything special — fragrance-free detergent, hang-dry pieces, stain spots, how you like things folded.
  2. Sorted by color and fabricWhites, colors, darks, delicates and heavy items are separated so nothing bleeds, pills or shrinks.
  3. Washed and dried properlyRight cycle, right temperature, right detergent. Items you flagged get hung or laid flat instead of tumbled.
  4. Folded, bagged and shelvedEverything is folded, stacked, bagged and shelved under your name. Standard turnaround is next day; same day when it is in by 9:00am.

Sheets, pillowcases, bath and kitchen towels, comforters, quilts and blankets.

Hypoallergenic and fragrance-free detergent on request, kept on your ticket.

Students & families

Dorm loads, game-day uniforms and catch-up weeks when the hamper gets ahead of you.

Anything labeled dry clean only — suits, wool, silk, structured dresses, formalwear — should go through dry cleaning instead. If it turns up in a wash & fold bag, we will pull it aside and call you before treating it.

Restaurants, salons, clinics, shops, churches, schools and service crews across Denton County run their laundry through us. Pickup and delivery is available for businesses — we come to you on a set schedule, so nobody on your staff has to make the trip. One invoice, consistent finishing, and a real person who knows your account. Volume pricing is quoted per business — tell us what you run and we will put numbers to it.

Questions we get at the counter

Wash & fold is priced by the pound, with a small minimum per order. Bulky items like comforters, quilts and blankets are priced individually because of the dryer time they need.

Rates change with detergent and utility costs, so call the store nearest you for today's price — the Hwy 380 store in Denton is at (940) 243-8989.

Standard turnaround is next day. Orders dropped off by 9:00am on a weekday can usually be finished the same day — ask at the counter when you drop off and we will confirm before you leave.

Always. Every order is washed, dried, folded and bagged on its own ticket. Nothing is combined with another household's laundry.

Yes. We keep hypoallergenic and fragrance-free detergent on hand, and you are welcome to bring your own. Note it at drop-off and we will add it to your ticket so it happens every time.

Pull them out and tell us, or leave a note in the bag. We will hang-dry or lay flat anything you flag. Anything labeled dry clean only should go through dry cleaning instead — we will move it over and let you know.

Yes. Comforters, duvets, quilts, blankets, mattress pads, sheets and pillowcases are some of our most common wash & fold items, especially in the spring and after the holidays.
